[Icom] IC-R7000

Hello,
   I recently acquired an IC-R7000.   It had been in storage for several
years.   The display seems confused.   I can tune the FM broadcast band,
and find stations in sequence, but the display reads all kinds of
jibberish.   Also seems like the Mem Channel is on all the time, I can't
get it out to normal VFO mode.   I don't have a manual on it, but am
looking for one.   Any one have words of wisdom on a receiver of this
vintage?   Maybe a reset of some kind, or ???
