Go figure. Just after I read this message, I receive another from [email protected] (sent 12:19pm 1/16/2002) confirming our move to mailman.

Dick, looks like we got a LOT less notice than expected!

A great many qth.net reflectors are moving to a new software system
called Mailman and they are now being addressed as
<list>@mailmain.qth.net instead of the current <list>@qth.net.

The ICOM list has NOT made this change and you will all be given plenty
of notice before any changes are made!!

Unfortunately, the controls were not in place to prevent eager beavers
from subscribing to the "new" [email protected] reflector! Imagine
my surprise when I went over to where the new list will eventually be
and found thirty bright faces already waiting for me!

I have since closed the front door to prevent any more subscriptions to
that list, but I want to let everyone know that for the foreseeable
future the ICOM reflector will be staying right where it has been since
its inception at [email protected]. Some day we will move to the new
reflector software, but that day hasn't arrive yet and it (hopefully)
won't happen without plenty of advance notice.

73, Dick
