OK perhaps not "policing" the actions of others, but certainly policing what
information is released and to whom.  And from my re-reading the posts
that's exactly what was going on.

What makes this request from Andy any different than the discussion that
took place about what pots to turn on the IC-746?

Huge assumption on everyone's part that the advise given and seconded and
thirded....and so on......was news to Andy.

I stand by my position.

Police the action of others? I don't think so, I got the impression that
those who responded to Andy were offering insight as to possible
transceiver problems vs any advantage of increasing power ten or twenty
watts. I believe they were trying to be helpful to Andy by providing some
facts pertaining to his query. Andy is free to pursue any any course of
action he wants to.
