Ever considered running it 'headless' like the TS B2000???

If you have a computer running Windows, you can control everything from the keyboard using the software available from Icom.  That might be cheaper than replacing the LCD.

Since there may be lots of things wrong with this rig, I'd think it was a must to buy the Icom service manual.  You can get it from Icom on www.icomamerica.com.
