postal inspectors??  here is the real scoop folks...  i was there and did
that...  i was cheated out of $325...  i used a postal money order...jumped
thru all of the hoops, and was advised by the postal inspectors, that the
dispute was "civil" since the crook had not stolen "enough " thru the mail..
i was advised that if the number of cases increased against the guy, they
would contact me..  since he stole my money  and did not become a serial
thief, the postal inspectors basically told me i was out of luck...  as did
dc police..  all said small claims court..  by the way the guys name is
scott hunter stark  a resident  (non ham) of dc  i have his address and home
land line..  i will eventually hire a lawyer to go after him..  it will cost
me far more than $325, however he needs to be unconvinced..  73  paul w8jn
ps.. by the way i did it by the numbers  got name verifiable phone and
address.. he sent "mint" equip..  turned out to be trash.. he said send it
back..  i did and he said  "to bad" kept the equip and money..  anyone who
knows a good attorney in dc let me know
