What mode are both rigs using? RTTY or L/USB?
If RTTY (using FSK) - could it be that you selected different RTTY tones in
the rigs?
If SSB (using AFSK) - shifted passband on the 706?
What did you experience performance wise? We recently used a Dell Inspriron
with 850Mhz processor, RckRTTY with MMTTY and the whole program seemed to
perform slow and sluggish, especially with double-clicking in the receive
window. Same with a Sony Vaio at 650Mhz. Maybe it's RckRTTY, but MMTTY
definetely puts a heavy load on the PC.
