[Icom] Adapting Motorola Mic to Icom?

Anyone adapted a Motorola speaker-mic for use with an Icom HT?

I have mic model HMN9083D and want to use it with my IC-W21AT.

Also, is there an adapter or could I get an in-line female connector so I 
may rig an adapter rather than hacking the stock Motorola mic plug off?
