IC706 (ver 1)

I have done the HF mod's and the rig works great.... but I also now need 
to mod the VHF side so that I can TX on MARS VHF freqs.
I can TX on the MARS VHF input or VHF output but can not do the 4.02 
split required.

I have not done the "yellow wire mod" as I have seen two different 
places where this wire can be terminated and wanted to to find out which 
is the best route to go... and is this a possible solution to my needs?
