Paul,
There is a link on my Icom page which should be of assistance.
http://www.qsl.net/ab4oj/icom/filters/filters.html
It shows passbands for most of the filters in question, except for the FL-30
and the FL-80.
The FL-80/FL-44A combination is the best choice for SSB, in terms of overall
shape factor and adjacent-channel selectivity. The Inrad 109 is similar to
the FL-44A.
Best 73,
Adam, VA7OJ/AB4OJ

Subject: [Icom] IC-740 Filters ...
Thank you for reading,
I have looked extensively but can not find any reference to older style
ICOM filters. Specifically i am looking for the specifications for all
of the
filters that will fit an IC-740. I currently have the FL-52, the FL-44,
and
the FL-30. These have been recommended to me however i am unable to
figure out the bandwidth of these. I have tried the ICOM America site,
however i do not find the information that i seek. I sent an e-mail to
International Radio regarding a 1.8 khz 455khz i.f. filter that they
have
available and was told that it was the equivalent of an ICOM FL-222.
I wasn't aware the FL-222 would fit the 740.
As you can see i am quite confused and appreciate any light you may be
able to
shed.
Thank - you again,
-Paul
