Your point is well made. The ICOM IC-PS30 is also an excellent switching 
power supply, and although it is not an internal type power supply, is very 
clean and radiates little heat even under extended high duty-cycle modes 
such as RTTY. ICOM really had the design for a clean, efficient, 
cool-running switching power supply nailed 20 years ago.
