[Icom] IC751 owners - Help please!

Pursuant to your request Srikanth, perhaps this will assist. I have a" 751"
(NOT "751A") among other Icom radios and it has an internal power supply.
Without the AC line attached and from the terminals on the rear where the
power cord would normally attach, the resistance with the power switch OFF
is infinity but when it is switched on, the value is 518 ohms+/- This is
WITH the MOLEX internal supply connected in the rear.
Disconnecting the MOLEX connector on the rear that originates from the
internal supply, where an external supply would normally attach, and with NO
AC line attached, and the power switch OFF, the resistance is 1814 ohms. As
soon as the switch is turned ON, the resistance drops to 25 ohms.
These measurements were made with a digital meter which should be reasonably
accurate.
The radio works fine, so I hope this helps.
