Hi Bob,
The EX-627 is controlled by the 0 ~ 8V band-selection voltage on ACC(2) Pin
4 of the IC-756Pro. (User manual, p. 13)
If you connect ACC (2) to the EX-627, the Pro will control the antenna port
selection of the EX-627 according to the selected band. You will then need
to connect the common port of the EX-627 to one of the four output ports of
the PW-1, and program the amplifier to select that port for all bands
covered by the antennas connected to the EX-627.
If you plan to use more than one antenna per band, you will need to do some
manual switching to select the desired antenna. If this is not acceptable,
a parallel port-controlled antenna switch will do the job, as long as your
logging software will allow you to choose more than one antenna for a given
band.

Subject: [Icom] 756Pro/PW-1/EX-627
Happy Holidays!
The Icom 756Pro w/PW-1 and possibly an EX-627. How do these three pieces of
Icom gear handle remembering which antenna is connected where when you
factor in the EX-627 and the 4 ports on the PW-1?
I have more antennas than the four ports on the PW-1 and was thinking about
adding the EX-627. Is this device linked via the CI-V? Will the Pro remember
which antennas are which if I connect the common port on the EX-627 to one
of the 4 ports on the PW-1 or will I have to use one of the 2 ports on the
Pro?
Is this a good approach or should I just buy a parallel port antenna switch
the my logging program can control?
