Hi,
Shipping can be via USPS or UPS. USPS shipped one goes thru customs at
the sorting plant.
They charge 7% GST on converted value in CAD plus 5.00 service charge.
If it comes via UPS, they ask you if you want them to be your customs
broker. They collect
7% GST plus their service charge depending on the value of radio. Their
service charge is
~25.00 usually. That's it. I always try to use USPS. I buy/sell things
across border for my hobby
stuffs(boat anchors, guitars, guitar amps, etc., photographic
equipments, etc.)
Never had any problem. I only got burned once on eBay purchase. I sent
for a piece worth about 25.00 and never got anything from a guy in
Florida. Good thing it was not a large amount.
So if you find something you like, go, get it. Some times you can save
some money as well.
73, Season's greetings.
