[Icom] Seeking better audio from my IC-746

Just to close out this topic, I went to Lowe's and Radio Shack over the
weekend. I didn't find any KLM speakers at Lowe's, but did find a range of
RCA speakers at Radio Shack. I picked up an RCA model on closeout for $20
(based on its size, the original price should have been around $80; I think
it was on closeout because it was painted white - all of the others were
black.)
I'd say the audio is a little better - but I couldn't describe the
improvement over the SP-21 (the ICOM external speaker I purchased with the
the IC-746) as major.
I did disassemble the SP-21 just to see what was inside the enclosure. For
the 10-11" of depth, the actual speaker component took up maybe 1.5" - the
rest of the box was just air. I'm afraid to check the invoice to see how
much I paid for it :)
Thanks to all for your suggestions.

Rick

Rick,
SP20 is bigger than SP21 and with audio filters. I think SP21 is also OK,
don't worry too much.
