Hello all
I am been pretty QRV from 9V1 on PSK 31 using my
706MKII radio. We are located in Southeast Asia which
attracts a lot of Dx'peditions to the exotic countries
nearby. Recently there was a 9M6 operation and that is
when I faced a lot of problems receiving PSK signals.
Most of my operations have been on 14.070 and the
strong signals (because of the viscinity and the
directional antennas) from 9M6 would virtually wash
out all the Dx (for me) signals on my waterfall. I did
try adjusting the sensitivity of the soundcard with no
luck as it takes off the Dx that I am working too. I
understand that the bandwidth for PSK operations is
pretty narrow and all PSK stations are basically
cluttered around the small space.
I seek your advise on resolving this problem. Is it
time to invest on a filter for the MKII? If you
suggest so, which filter would you recommend eliminate
this problem.
Any inputs would be greatly appreciated.
