.............................. had the same problem with my icom 2710,.,,,
there was a crack in the ceramic backplane.. which caused a small crack in
the 12 vt line to the module,,,,
I could not find the crack in the ceramic till i found the crack in the
solder ...that crack was visible,,, then i could see the ceramic crack.
Got out the silver solder,,, now it works fine and I'll keep the module i
ordered for a spare ( I have a 2700n & another 2710)...
Icom put their name on that module , and they charge for those failures...
seems that should make toshiba eat them)...
( i don't suppose ICOM would fix those modules,,,like us hams...)
