try removing the interior light and seeing if you can see the roof panel
if you can drill up through the hole that the interior light mounts.
use a coat hanger or a whip for a vhf antenna to snake the coax to the side
of the roof and then go down the A-pillar in to the dash

Greetings Icom users,
I am seeking information on the installation of an IC207H dual band
transceiver and
a roof mnt [with hole] antenna. The car is a 1998 Cadillac Sedan Deville. I
have been told that this model and year car has a beam in the roof that may
cause problems.
I would like to verify this since the source of this information isn't GM.
Another concern is the effect of uhf and vhf on the auto electronics.
Any information, web address or other forms would be greatly appreciated.
Tnx & 73
Charlie
