[Icom] RE: M obile Noise Suppression Help Needed

My apologies if this has already been suggested...I deleted too much =
mail this morning.

To confirm that it is from the injectors, de-accelerate in such a manner =
that computer shuts off fuel completely. (you can hear that =
happening....the diesel cackle disappears) It may be a little more tough =
to do with an auto, but during de-acceleration, the injectors become =
quiet, and the noise should go away.

This is how I helped another ham determine it was injector noise in his =
truck.  He noise was only on 40 and he didn't have an 80m antenna to =
try. I've not had my HF rig in my truck yet to see if it does the same =
thing, but I suspect it will. (2001 PowerStroke)

I would be very interested in hearing what the fix is. I have not been =
on ford-diesel.com for a long time, but there have been discussions by =
hams on the subject in the past, might be a good place to look.
