Hey guy, your all wet! I am in the commercial two way radio business. I have
been in the design end of the business for over 20 years. You don't announce
a product for half a year and then hide the reason even from your loyal
dealers. Don't bait the customer and then play the game Icom is doing.
AGAIN, if you don't have the product released even in Japan, I doubt if you
really have something other than a beta model.
I loved my IC-701, IC-2AT, IC-720, IC-756-PRO,and W32A, this would be a high
power clone of the W32A so what is the holdup?
As far as a bunch of whiny belly-askers, you sound like your part of the
problem.

Just who do you guys think you are?
The ham radio market is a tiny, repeat, tiny fraction of ICOM's over all
market. The lion's share of radio sales world-wide are commercial/business
and government/military, it is these markets that dictate where and when
radio gear is developed, and how much R&D money is invested in that gear.
NOT HAMS!
All ham radio sales could stop today, and ICOM would continue, sustained
solely by those "non-ham" sales.
Nobody likes a bunch of whiny belly-askers.
