[Icom] Do I Dare To Ask?

Clay,

It is ultimately a matter of cost/benefit ratio. The IC-756Pro II costs more
than twice as much as the TT Jupiter. Does it offer the purchaser more than
twice as much performance and capability?

A little time spent reading various IC-756Pro and Pro 2 user reviews may
help you decide. Examples can be found on my Icom page and on
http://www.eham.net/

The "original" IC-756Pro, at around $1300 to $1500 in the second-hand
market, is a whole lot more radio than the Jupiter - at a price comparable
to that of the TT rig.

Well - I've still got a 756, and I guess I'm reasonably happy with it.
Paid about $1400 for it brand new, and thought I got a bargain compared
to the 761. And if it's still worth $1000, that's great.

I guess one of my questions now would be: Is the 756 Pro II that much
better a radio than the (TenTec) Jupiter (which is what looks pretty
attractive for my next rig)?
