Terry

I have IC-718 that I am very happy with. When I got it I asked about
getting a DSP board for it
and was told to save my money or spend it on something else . In fact
the person who sold it to me said that after I had a good chance to use
it without DSP and still wanted one he would give me one.

So that's what did. I spend the money on a very good vertical antenna
with traps to cover all the main band on the CT-718. And I have not
regretted it. I really like to ease of using this rig and
it's sensitivity and other filters work great. I don't think I will
ever get a DSP for it.

I have used I-coms DSP board on a PCR-1000 that I use a lot and it did
great things for that rig.
But I find that the IC-718 way out performs the PCR-1000 with no
comparison. I feel it is worth the bucks.
