I have an IC-765 and tried several "communication speakers" with it but=20
none sounded decent. Finally, I grabbed a quick-and-dirty hi-fi(?) speaker=
=20
I built several years ago & tried it. What a difference.
So I bought another of the speaker elements from Radio Shack and built a=20
small wooden enclosure. The sound of the 765 continued to be excellent.=20
That element is still available although I don't have their catalog number=
=20
handy. It's a 4" wide range speaker & the price is around $9.95. You might=
=20
give it a try.
