Hi,
Easiest way to see which way air flows is to blow a puff of cigarette 
smoke briefly.
The thing is making the air move all the time whether bottom up or top down.
There once was a mainframe system which had a blower mounted on the top 
of the
cabinet and air was blown downward. We used to call it top hat blower. 
Did the
cooling job alright.
