[Icom] Computer Control for IC-718

Hi Everyone,

I'm new to this list an apologize if this question has been asked a thousand times before.  I recently purchased an IC-718 and am interested in putting together an interface for computer control.  I use the N1MM logging program, and would love to be able to have the rig respond to frequency inputs from the computer.  I have been told that it is possible to do this without having to resort to the purchase of ICOM's CT-17 Level Converter.  If there is a site on the web that has info available for constructing and interface between the rig's remote jack, and the computer's serial port, I would appreciate being pointed in that direction.
