Hi Dan (and all y'all),
I destroyed one node (might be able to repair it, have to bridge (4)
10-mil traces) taking the case off. I recommend leaving the cases on if
possible. Mounting is possible in the cramped quarters of the antenna
space by cutting off 1/4" to 1/2" or so of the legs (it's too tall
otherwise - still plenty of room for ventilation).
I have the steel pipe for the mast, but need to get it cemented into the
ground and everything strapped to it & grounded. Also have to drill
some holes in the house for bulkhead mountings (any suggestions?).
Congratulations on your new position, Dan! I just joined the PPRAA
last month.
I have several ham related entries on my blog -
https://www.wrbishop.com -- you're welcome to republish and feel free
to give any advice on how I might improve on my writing. I have a few
other posts in the works.
