We are deploying broad band ham net equipment down here in the springs we have gained access to two high level sites. They are working on some software for the ubiquity equipment. In an effort to support ongoing projects and to provide some level of interoperability we have chosen that system. While imperfect it provides operability from the novice level to the advanced level. We. Agree that for longer distance backbone hops we need some higher grade solutions but for local gateways and access to the system Broadband hamnet is the way we have chosen for now. Personally I have found it is also the easiest way to get people on the same page.
