Hi guys,
For maintaining your 5 - 10AH batteries - These might also work as
permanently connected chargers (in a node):
http://www.amazon.com/Battery-Tender-021-0123-Junior-Charger/dp/B000CITK8S/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1376081645&sr=8-1&keywords=trickle+float+chargers
Typically you want to charge lead-acid batteries at 1/10th their rated
AH; so a 10AH battery would be charged at a max rate of 1Amp. You want
a charger that will switch from "charge" to "trickle charge" to "float
charge" automagically (a 4 or 5 stage charger)
I have the "big brother" of this that keeps my 40Ah+ lead-acid
batteries maintained.
When I'm not using my batteries, I keep them on dedicated float chargers:

That I picked up on-sale for $5.
