[HSMM-COS] Services over HSMM-MESH?

 Has anyone installed an IRC chat server on a mesh node?

Other apps may require Internet connection, but is there any interest in
back-ending a mesh network with a (or several) small computer (say a $50
Raspberry Pi <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raspberry_Pi>) that can host
multiple applications (Asterisk PBX for VoIP, Image storage, etc) in
lieu of Internet connectivity?
