Hi Chris,

Used to listen to WLS on the AM side in the mid to late sixties and early 70's.

Loved Larry Lujack and his side kick, Little Snot nosed Tommy.

I think at least once I heard Dick Biondi as well. Nice memories.

I'm pretty sure I heard John 'Records' Landecker at least onces as well.

You're famous!

73, Rob, KC5RET

Heard on WLS-FM (94.7) Chicago this morning from John Landeckers (Records truly IS his middle name...really!):

"And a shout out to my friend Chris Boone in Groves, Texas listening on a Smart Phone; found a smart use for them!!!...AWESOME!!"

WLS used to be an ABC station..now owned by Cumulus who owns 94.1, 102.5, etc in Beaumont and 103.7/104.1, etc in Houston...and is the second largest broadcaster behind Clear Channel....(another ex employer!)...

Now when the #1 DJ in Top40 history mentions your name AND your home town on the #1 music station in Chicago, you KNOW 2012 is gonna be a good year!!!
Wasn't the original Big890 WLS AM but it was the "MusicRadio" WLS callsign...YES!!! Thank you John (his facebook page "John Landecker" also has it posted on his wall!)

www.947wls.com is the web site for their stream.....

What a way to start 2012, huh???!!!
