This was in the Fall 2008 issue of the TX VHF FM Society newsletter...the
ones NOONE got mailed and those of us who WERE supposed to be getting it
emailed DIDN'T!! Found it on the web site...and it looks like a good little
trivia question....SO who wants to take a crack at it???
$10 cash prize for the 1st correct answer(s)....YES, there is more than ONE
correct fix.....Ok, TWO $10 cash prizes!

A 220 MHZ repeater was established on a ridge
overlooking a long valley. At the end of the valley was
an AM broadcast station (about 3 to 5 miles away)
transmitting a 25 KW signal on 1,600 kHz. Every time
the 220 repeater was keyed up, it howled. A strong
signal could get through but it was virtually unusable.
The obvious items were checked, connections, bad
coax, shielding, etc. Nothing helped. Can you figure
out what is wrong and how to fix it? Please let us know.
