[HoustonHam] Once again, the Society is lying

The current crop of the TX VHF FM Society BoD is trying to do things without
the members input. A note on narrowbanding is seen here off the web site:

http://www.txvhffm.org/narrowband.shtml

Read the part where it says " In a short time, the FCC will deny type
acceptance for any new commercial equipment capable of operating in any mode
wider than 2.5 KHz below 512 MHz". (wider than 2.5kHz?? WOW!!! Last I heard,
the final destination is 6.25kHz channel spacing digital or analog but WELL
in the future...only 12.5kHz bandwidth spacing is being implemented by
1/1/2013 unless Congress does a stupid thing like they did with DTV and
delays it for 2 years).

THAT STATEMENT IS A TOTAL LIE!! Only Part 90 users in the 150-174 and
450-512MHz range are affected by the new Narrowband rules. Marine users
(Part 80), GMRS (Part 95) as well as Part 90 COMMERCIAL users in 30-50MHz
range are NOT affected and are staying +/-5kHz FM! FRS is already NB but
share 7 channels with GMRS.

THEN the BoD wants to change the bandplan in HALF the state....do you REALLY
think RF stops at the county line?? FOLKS its time to get rid of these
idiots and take back the Society where the MEMBERS have control..less than
10% of ALL repeater trustees are members of the Society...Take back the
Society or start a new group with MORE than 10% of trustees as
members...then the Society has NO teeth in coordination (The FCC will
recognize the group with the most numbers as the dominant group....being
technically advanced is one thing, ramming it down throats where its NOT
needed?? Cmon!!)

Call for the resignation of ALL the current BoD members who are behind this
ludicrous idea and let's make sensible moves in the amateur service!

ALSO there is a standing motion on the table that they have NOT done
anything with (made by yours truly) to accommodate NB digital modes systems
(make your FM rptr NB and you lose HALF or more of possible users...and
travelers, etc!) They are NOT following the rules in place and have also
leaked out confidential information about coordinations...you really want
these jokers telling YOU where to put your repeater??? I don't think so.

PASS IT ON!!! The truth that is.....
