The armadillo group is the driving force behind this action to take simplex
2M freqs. for DSTAR. The have a large club and are well organized. We need
to combat it. We are linking up with simplex groups around the states and we
are all trying to rally our memberships to vote this down.

We need pure numbers, nothing else is going to stop this band plan change.
PLEASE MAKE THE EFFORT TO GO TO AUSTIN SUMMER FEST THIS WEEKEND AND VOTE
AGAINST THIS BAND PLAN CHANGE.

IT IS VITAL and will take all of us. Other clubs rally your members....We
have the numbers, we just have to make the effort.

Subject: The Austin Meeting

We just heard through the grapevine that the Armadillo group has been
rallying their members to show up at the Society meeting to vote the band
plan in. We have 17 people from our group of 30 that say they are going. A
lot of them are elderly or sick and can't make the trip. Some of our guys
wanted me to ask you how many you were able to round up from your group.

There are five board positions up for election. Lee, Terry, and Brett from
our group have been nominated for the vote. Andy, who is already on the
board, is up for re-election and he sees things our way. There is another
guy named Patrick who is running that is supposed to be like-minded.
