Looks like our TV2 & 3 (and maybe 4) batwings on 6m after the digital
transition is ON!!!YEEHAW!!! I asked Richard Goldy at KPRC if Channel 2's
batwing may be available.I plan to check with KBTV 4 in Beaumont and KATC 3
in Lafayette (their analog tower is 1800ft and in a QUIET area.and MAY be in
EL39!!!! I drove past it tonight on the way home.oh, to put that beast on 6
SSB!!!) The VHF contest would be a great time to make QSOs..and also operate
under 1x1 special event calls....
Looks like WGBH is a GO for 6m operation (a change from earlier
reports!!!)..damn this is getting to be FUN!!!

Fellow Broadcaster/ Hams. Has this list died? Has the delay of the digital
transition knelt a death blow to our 6 meter on channel 2 antenna plans?
In case you haven't noticed, the weekend following the Friday, June 12th
shut down of analog is the ARRL June VHF contest weekend! What a time to
light up those old channel 2 batwings at 2000' HAAT and make some Q's..
I must admit that some of the steam was taken out of our plans earlier when
the delay was instituted..
Anyone have any plans for Field Day, which is 2 weeks after the analog
shutdown?
