Yes, Art's call was original...dating back to the 1910s......He wanted W5APK
(his initials) but someone misread his handwritten on the app back then and
he got APX instead.

Kay owned Kay Radio/Electronics, a 2 state Motorola MSS powerhouse.

Chris that sounds great, was W5APX the guy's original call, if so you have a

old callsign there which is neat.

We have the same thing here in Brenham or our 3 repeaters, W5AUM, the former

holder of the call had been a ham for 73 yrs!
