As of today, I learned that yesterday, September 5, 2008, the FCC granted
the vanity application of the Triangle Repeater Association, Incorporated
(formerly WA5YUS/WR5AEX), resurrected earlier this year as KE5UMY.

IT NOW PROUDLY holds the call formerly and originally held by Arthur P. Kay
Jr. (SK)..W5APX! Thanks to his stepson, Lee W5TEH, for giving his permission
to make this become a reality!

Look for this call sign coming to a repeater frequency and possibly a real
Field Day site near you soon (So far 10 people have shown interest in a REAL
Field Day operation.LETS DO IT!!...I think we may be able to get some
commercial sponsorship for this J)
