Very interesting cause I have heard just the opposite that the TV antenna that someone is using today won't be able to receive the Digital signal in the future.

Now where does this digital converter box come into play.
Its being used so that you can receive digital signals when Feb. 2009 gets here, without that box you cannot view dig TV...Am I correct on that?

The antenna is a antenna and it does not care what the video signal is just the rf signal.

You got it correct HYPE and the scam of needing a special antenna is just that.

The media hype about "better quality, more channels etc." comes with the digital technology.

Are there any naming standards for the additional multiplexed sub channels?

There are opinions about that the receiving antenna for digital TV must be "special".

Should commonly used LP TV outdoor antenna work just fine in digital TV word?
