4 months and counting to high power Analog Over The Air (OTA) TV going away!
If you haven't gotten your "coupons" OR the DTV boxes with the coupons, time
is running OUT!! February 17. 2009 IS the sunset date! Only Lower Power
analog will be left on and that's for those below Channel 60 (like TV22 in
Beaumont; whereas Analogs 64, 67 and 69 will be off the air for good).
Eventually they too will switch to digital.

There is a possibility In Houston (and it IS being planned at other
locations), that the former TV2 antenna, after they turn off their analog
TV signal, have its feedline plumbed over into a 6m SSB setup and a day or
so, it will be work on "TV2 on 6m"..a number of other TV2s stations are
planning to do it (with 1KW linears hooked up to 10db omni antennas at
1000ft +?? ARE YOU KIDDING? WHO would pass that up??) and hopefully it can
take place in Houston as well.... a special call would be used in the event
it happens...to say goodbye to analog TV on Channel 2 (only 4-5 stations
will remain in 2 nationwide after the digital transition at last count).

Will keep you informed.
