Well, the event hit the current Amateur Radio Newsline broadcast....I 
wish Bill (Pasternak at FOX LA) would have worded it slightly 
different....it sounds more like an on the air operation by hams from 
home more than the use of the Batwings, etc! :) Anyway, one new member 
joined the list because of it and hopefully we'll hear from more over 
the next week or so...plus plenty of time to have Newsline AND ARRL 
News update the info and make it a little more specific.....

1KW into the Batwings at 1000ft+ on 6?? I can hardly wait!! 1x1 calls are 
easily available....I will be putting in request for those who want to 
use them....I think the 1x1s would be more noticable and create one 
hell of a pile up!! Working on a proposed certificate for those 
participating to mail out.....use a picture of the tower/antenna with 
some minor history of the station and callsigns it has had since sign 
on in the 40s or 50s.....and signatures by current ham employees at the 
station in question if possible....should make an impressive QSL/cert 
for those wanting to work the BIG sticks :)
