Robert,

I'm confused....
You have a 706MKIIG but which covers VHF/UHF in allmodes, but you say you would have to build your own rig for those bands - but don't have the time.

Don't have the time? Why wait - You already an 2m/440 all mode rig !

Build one later when you have the time
