[HoustonHam] VHF SSB Activity in the Area?

I made my first 2m SSB contact Saturday during the VHF contest, with K5ETX in Corpus Christi over 150 miles away with only 10 watts and a minimal antenna!

Finally got the urge to put the Folded Dipole that I bought at a swapmeet 4 or 5 years ago up on a 30' pole to see what I could hear.   Pulled the old Icom 706MkII (new in 1997) out of the truck hooked it up and less than an hour later I felt like I did back in '94 with the feeling of making that first QSO all over again!

Anyone in the area active on 2m SSB ?   What about 6m SSB ?
