an Extra (since 1960s) friend in Lubbock is following our discussion on 6m but
does not belong to any elists.

he is asking though, for the membership to explain one thing to him...

WHAT is so much fun about 6m?
iow
WHY should he get into the band?

is it the playing with antennas?  he uses mostly sticks for his vhf/uhf.
is it trying to contact someone in Austin while both are going thru a repeater
in Valparaiso GA???  is it skip?  

he is looking for repeatability not rare contacts.
