I don't have one yet nor do I believe (or plan) to operate illegally. First
off I'm in the northwest Houston area near 34th St & hwy 290. Secondly I'm
working on getting my FCC license so I can my grab my elmers call as a
vanity. He has been gone about 5 years now & was advanced. I plan to be an
extra so I can have full HF privileges. Thankfully his 1x3 call has never
been claimed....

Yes I am interested in 6 meters after doing some listening on an old
Hallicrafters SX-73 which goes up to 60MHZ. My main interest is HF &
boatanchors although I'm thinking about an Icom rig for my truck hooked up
to a Bugcatcher.

Even though I own several transmitters (& receivers) your the first ham
who asked what my call was in a long time. And by the way I don't mind one bit!
