Forget Motracs...they have tubes in them......if you want something
solidstate,
Here is a list:

GE
MSTR II, EXEC II, MVP (model numbers abXYxxx33 - the 33 means 42-50 Mhz
range which can go to 6)

MIDLAND
Syntech I, II, XTR series (As long as the model number ends with a "C" as in
70-0500C...this range is 42-50 and can go to 6)

MOTOROLA
MICOR, MARATRAC, MITREK (Micor is xtal, the others are programmable) Model
number starts like T71 with the "1" designating lowband (the 1st DIGIT
denotes power)...BUT there is no way to tell if its 30MHz or 50MHz with
mother M unless you look inside at the xtals or read the programming. One
reason I like GE or Midland

You can find an ICOM IC60 xtal rig or other ham rigs like Genave and even
Regency made the HR6 but I wont recommend it unless you find it for 10
bucks; anything more and its not worth it ....there are commercial
lookalikes of ham rigs...but you have to make sure it covers 50 Mhz and is
not in the lower range.
