[HoustonHam] LOCAL 6 meter questions

One active 6mtr rptr....53.11 (141.3 PL) which is at 200ft in Channelview
(just NE of the I10/Beltway interchange)...no gain antenna and the area is
not known to be quiet noise wise.....and the rptr is likely not running the
noise blanker due to it being a duplexed rptr.
The HoustonHam list is ok for 6mtr ops...most of us hang here already...I am
working on a new 6mtr box to go between Houston and Beaumont and hope to
have both AM and FM on it (dual mode so a FM only radio is all you need..or
those with the old AM rigs can use it)
There IS quite a bit of 6m SSB ops in the area though....also some FM guys
stay on 52.525 simplex.
