I guess I needed to add the statement that these are not
e-mails that I am mentioning.  These are notices on the
secure PayPal website that I read when I've just made a
purchase.  They say something like, "You're only $XXX.XX
dollars away from reaching your unverified limit" or
something like that.

I've learned through others' bad experiences NOT to
respond to unsolicited e-mails from suspect "PayPal"
senders.
