Texas Minutemen Announce El Paso October 1, 2005 Border Watch
The 4 founders of the original Texas Minutemen today announced that
they and their coalition groups will be on the Texas border in the El Paso
area throughout October. They intend to cover El Paso, Fabens, and Ft
Hancock border areas.
Texas Minutemen border watch has joined hands with other groups in a
friendly and co-operative coalition. Members of the coalition are Texas
Minutemen, New Mexico, Colorado, Houston, and Ca. border watch groups. The
coalition promotes enforcement of US law and support for Border Patrol and
all law enforcement who are trying to do the job with too few resources.
The intent of the coalition is pro-law and to demand that US laws be
enforced. Shannon McGauley, a co-founder of the Texas Minutemen, said "We
intend to do the job that those in our government took an oath to do;
safeguard our borders. We intend to protect our nation in October and will
continue to put pressure on Washington until they start to do the job that
is their responsibility." If Washington does not listen we can put new
people in there who will make secure US borders their priority as
Congressman Tom Tancredo does.
Shannon said, "It is almost 4 years after 9/11 and we are not safer in
our own land. We have over 60,000 total troops on the border in Korea,
Bosnia, and Iraq. A small number of them could secure our borders but
Washington wants to protect other nations' borders more than our own."
Texas Minutemen extends a public call to Texans and all patriots to
help secure our nations border. We especially encourage El Paso, Fabens, and
Ft Hancock residents to volunteer for their Neighborhood Watch. This is
their backyard.
All citizens need to insist that our laws are inforced. An open
border is dangerous for our safety. Recent crossings of Chinese, Brazilian,
mid-east, Mexican, and other South American illegals over the Texas-Mexico
border has caused deep concern in US intelligence agencies and medical
societies.
