A lot of the DFW rptrs cover DeSoto with no problems.....You are JUST around
the corner from Cedar Hill where the TV towers are and there are a few
machines there as well (some of them Closed Dillo machines so beware...none
of them on 2mtrs) Its been a while since I had been on any 2m box there so I
cant tell you for sure...but 146.88 has good coverage (Its on the north side
of downtown Dallas)...check out 444.65 iirc (its downtown on the 1000ft
building) and is open. W5JBP (the ARRL President) has a UHF rptr on the same
bldg in the 442 range...and can be worked from DeSoto quite easily!

Look under the Rptr directory for Cedar Hill and DeSoto ....you can search
on ARTSCI (sp?) on line rptr directory...also the VHF FM Society has a
search page (but not as informative)
