TDXS September Meeting Announcement
All interested in learning more about DXing or contesting are invited to
attend!
Note that nominations for 2005 TDXS officers will open during the September
9 meeting!
The September 9 TDXS meeting will feature Lance Rumfield, WD5KCX, presenting
"Power line Operating Parameters, Amateur Antennas & Electrical Safety".

2) Explain migration of HL&P/Reliant/CenterPoint Energy - or - (What

3) How electric power gets from generator to residential service (How
it all works)
a) Examples of different configurations and voltages (Towers,
poles and volts)

Lance Rumfield, WD5KCX, has been licensed since 1978. His amateur interests
include HF, both fixed and mobile, and APRS. WD5KCX is also the trustee of
the 449/444.250 repeater, since 1979, and enjoys converting commercial gear
to amateur use. He is proud of the fact that his XYL and both sons are also
licensed. Lance is Supervisor, Diagnostics & Analysis in the Substation
Performance division of CenterPoint Energy. In his 32 years with
predecessor companies he has extensive experience with high voltage
transmission and distribution, and holds several patents.
