AP article today in the Houston Chronicle (http://www.chron.com), page
4B of the Business section, tells of Cinergy going ahead with BPL
through a subsidiary of theirs.
At the end of the article, there is mention of ARRL's complaints and
interference problems...but the article ends with (QUOTE):
"Cinergy, however, said interference has not been a problem" END QUOTE
WHAT A CROCK!!! I am writing a rebuttal to this article now...after 13
years with Gulf States Utilities/ENTERGY (Texas) in the telecom dept.
where I was the lead TVI/RFI tech, this doesn't surprise me....I have
seen the lack of response from power companies in these days (especially
in Entergy..under GSU, we CARED and took care of the noise..I have the
OT checks to prove it ;) and the increase of just static type noise off
distribution lines...add a square wave RF signal from 2-80 MHz
there.....well we ALL know the problem! Someone needs to tell the
truth!! (Especially since I am a member of Quill and Scroll from my
journalism days, this really Ps me off!! The lack of AP stating the real
facts is appalling!)
