Well, as a matter of fact.......
I am a 76 Grad of PNG and Groves native...as well as being an Orange ARC
member back in the 70s and 80s! Have a certificate of appreciation for
the work I did on the 78/18 repeater back then from the club.

Also owned the original 145.47 open autopatch machine in Port Neches
(now operated by Jeff CO ARC) and still own 444.5/224.5 in Beaumont
(which are both down right now due to antenna problems) and was
president of GSU ARS and later Entergy ARS until 1996 ! :)

soooo you might say I know the area...(brother who is dentist is in
Vidor and folks home in Groves is still there)

Wish I could have stayed longer at the fest (DID buy a new 220 rptr
antenna for $40) but had to make the 80th birthday lunch tribute to
Gordon Baxter in Beaumont....worked with him at KLVI in the late 70s..
back in the good ol' days of radio ;)

Im still deciding if I am going to go to Lafayette!

Also spread the word about the SETXHAM list at Yahoogroups.com for the
folks there in the Triangle :)

Chris
WB5ITT
(also) 224.8 Houston (with HF-6m all mode remote base!)
and 444.8 Conroe/Houston (moving to new site and relinking to 444.5 Bmt)
